Islamabad: Opposition leader Khursheed Shah has said that prime minister has not taken parliament into confidence on matter of Kulbhush
an Yadav.
“What punishment has been awarded to Kulbhush
an Yadav is awarded to spies under Pakistan Army Act. Government should tell the world that what Pakistan has done it has done legally and constitutionally,” Khursheed said this while talking to media men on Tuesday.
“We convene
Public Accounts Committee (PAC) me
eting as per the schedule and today its me
eting was also held. Auditor Ge
neral Pakistan (AGP) has not been appointed as yet. This appointment should have been made forthwith. This is a constitutional position and it should not be kept vacant. Someone should have been inducted immediately,” he remarked.
“We ascertained has the president appointed someone tem
porarily on this post. We came to know it was not done so. Had the me
eting taken place without AGP today then its legal position could have been challenged,” he added.
