ISLAMABAD: Pakistani officials prep up to attend the
Heart of Asia (HoA) ministerial conference being held in Amritsar, India this weekend on 3rd-4th December. Adviser to the Prime Min
ister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz called Prime Min
ister Nawaz Sharif and briefed him on the meeting.
The prime min
ister instructed the adviser to make all the necessary arrangements in this regard.
The
Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process (HoA) was founded on November 2nd, 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey. It aims for sincere and results-oriented regional coop
eration
by placing Afghanistan at its centre, in recognition of the fact that a secure and
stable Afghanistan is vital to the prosperity of the
Heart of Asia region.
The participants include Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates.
